Robbie Williams Robbie Williams career began as a member of Boyband Take That, after a hugely successful time
in the group, selling 25 million records, he left to embarked on a solo career. Since his solo debut,
Robbie Williams has sold more albums in the United Kingdom than any other British solo artist in
history. In all he has sold 72.5 million records and has been the recipient of many awards in the
duraton of his career. Robbie is a Grammy nominated and 15 times Brit Award winner. Blur British band Blur were one of the biggest bands around in the UK during the Brit pop movement of
the mid 1990's. The band formed in Colchester in 1989, including members, Damon Albarn as the
lead volcalist, Graham Coxon, Alex James, Dave Rowntree. The band released highly influencial
albulms such as Modern Life Is Rubbish, Parklife and Great Escape. Blur were a huge part in
popularizing Brit-pop, aided by a famous chart battle with UK band Oasis. Oasis The rock band Oasis originally formed in Manchester in 1991. Fronted by lead guitarist and primary
song writer Noel Gallagher and his younger brother Lead singer and song writer Liam Gallagher.
Mainly known for their highly publicized bad boy reputation, the band are arguably one of the most
successful bands to come from the Brit pop movement during the 1990's. In 2005 "The Guiness
Book Of Hit Singles And Albulms" declared Oasis "The most successful ast of the ast decade in
the UK." Oasis have sold more than 50 million albulms world wide, and have had eight number one
singles in the UK. Red Hot Chilli Peppers
The Red Hot Chilli Peppers formed in Los Angeles, Calafornia in 1983. The band refer to
themselves as a American Alternative Rock Band, demonstrating a range of styles, for example,
Rock, Heavy metal, Funk, Punk Rock, Hip Hop and Psychedelic Rock. The only two original
members left in the band are Anthony Kiedis and "Flea" Balzary. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Albulm "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" in 1991 was a massive success and sold over twelve million
copies, their biggest success as a band up until the release of the albulm "Calafornication", when
they sold fifteen million units worldwide. Theirmost recent albulm "Stadium Arcadium" was voted
the second best albulm of 2006 by the Rolling Stones magazine. Pulp
Rock band Pulp were formed in 1978 by Jarvis Cocker, then a fifteen year old school boy. The other
members consisted of Jarvis' school friends from the City Secondary School in Sheffield. The band
were influenced by artists such as David Bowie, The Cure, The Beatles and The Kinks. They were
most famous in the UK, due to the mix of pop-rock and Jarvis Cockers amusing Kitchen-sink lyrics.
In 1996 the band won a Mercury Prize award.
