About the Video

Attack of the Giant Squid Thing was the first major project for the Two Clones Company, as well as the first original video. As the final assignment for the first year of college, we were told to make a short video; either a music video, short film or a trailer. We opted to make a trailer, and this was what resulted!

Attack of the Giant Squid Thing saw the debut of Johnny the Squid, a beloved Clone Company star, and his hairy, walrus rival, Evil Eyebeam Walrus Man. It was great fun experimenting and making the trailer and if nothing else, a lot was learned from the experience.

All of the "special effects" were made from household items. The victims to Johnny were Polly Pocket dolls, the rain was produced by using a hose and bouncing the water off an umbrella, the fake blood was created from out of date barbeque sauce and all black backdrops were made by handing up t-shirts behind the scene.
